I'm 17 and I want to travel backpacking from Malaysia to China or maybe Australia,?
but I has low amount of money, and unable to speak english fluently. So, is there any suggestion??

Any recommendations on where to get a medium sized, travel backpack for a low price that is still good quality?
I'm going to Europe to study abroad in Rome for 5 weeks & then I'm going to visit Paris, London & maybe Amsterdam when I leave. Because I'm going to live in Rome for 5 weeks, I'm going to be taking a bigger variety than if I were purely backpacking. Therefore, I'm already going to have a medium sized suitcase with wheels to lug around with me. Any tips on a medium sized, travel backpack? Good quality, low price.

Aside from work a 9-5 job, what is the best way to make money overseas while traveling/backpacking?
I'll have a laptop. Not against doing something online. I'd be open to any suggestions to make a little cash while backpacking around the world as long as it isn't bar work or a 9 5 jobs... because it kind of ruins the whole point of backpacking around the world if I'm stuck in an office or a cafe. Please help and steer me in the right direction. This is the first questions I've asked, and it's because I'm stumped.Yeah, I'm Australian. I wouldn't be against getting a working visa, but then longer term it won't be as much of an issue as ideally I'll be moving to another country continent before my visa expires. Please keep the answers coming, they are teriffic

Would doing a spell of travelling/backpacking look good or bad on my IT CV?
Dear All,At the age of 30 and after working for 5 years for the same company as a software engineer and manager almost an eternity in IT , I've just had a change of circumstances and am considering putting my IT career on hold for between 6 months and a year to go backpacking and travelling in Central Europe, Asia and Australia. Although I do travel in my job occasionally Western Europe and North Africa , some extended travel to see places, learn skills and experience new things is something I really want to do before I get older and have commitments. While I will be looking for opportunities for contract and temporary work placements while abroad to pay my way and plan to learn at least one other language to go along with my English and French, I still fear that upon my return IT employers may take a dim view of 6 months 1 year away. In my research I've seen forums where supposed HR staff and recruiters recommend that returned travellers omit all but the most brief reference to their travel, stating that since gap year travel is so ubiquitous now noone would care and at worst you would be seen as frivolous and privileged. Others have been more accomodating to backpackers and travellers, seeing the cultural experience, soft skills and language skills gained as a real asset.I wish to know what you think. Is a career break for travel and possible occasional contract work a good or a bad thing in IT?As an addendum, I have looked into the legal implications of short work stints abroad. As the UK National, and with the first part of the trip being in mainland Europe and the third part being in Australia where I would pretty easily get a work visa under their Skilled Migrant Visa program and with Australian relatives, I think there will be much scope for legal work during the trip. Also I could write software to sell on the I Store or even do remote consultancy for my current employer something that my employer has offered to others in the past.

Is 23 too old to go travelling/backpacking?
I was thinking maybe South America, South East Asia, etc. Am I too old though? Have I missed the boat? Nothing is keeping me here. Are most of the people who go travelling a lot younger than myself and would I be considered too old and someone who should not be travelling but should have a job a girlfriend a mortgage, etc?

Two questions for traveling, backpacking?
I have two questions 1. What is the best way to carry money? I don't want to have pay loads and loads of fees, I just want to be able to use the money I have, preferably without a credit card. Is it best to use traveler's checks, exchange currency, etc.?2. All I really want to do is travel. Live a simple life and see the world. This is my plan Work at a temporary job waiting tables, sales associate at a store , until I have enough money to go on a trip for a few months, then upon returning back to the States, find another job and repeat. Or perhaps I could even work while abroad i.e. one several day gigs that are apparently offered at times at hostels and therefore extend my visit time? Does anyone else live a life like this? It seems perfect, to me.
