Which of these 3 backpacking backpacks should i get?
I plan to take clothes, nothing like mountain gear, or whatever. I plan to take trips to south america, but to stay in hostels. I plan to go on a trip for 1 or 2 months, so I will have to repeat clothes, so I believe the bigger the better. Best and worst 3 things to bring when backpacking & backpack size ... help?
I am going to be backpacking around eastern Europe next summer UK, Amsterdam, Germany, Prague, France and Barcelona for 2 3 months. I will be staying in hostels the entire time not camping and I tend to be a very light packer. But, I have never backpacked so am looking for a few pointers. 1 What are the top 3 best things that I shouldn't forget to bring?2 What are the top 3 things that are usually packed but never used?and if you have any other pointers that would be great. I am especially wondering about backpack size. I am looking at a 32l bag and a 40l bag right now. I know that I will have to pack really light for the 32l bag but am wondering if I should even try it... any experience with a 32l bag??thanks D D

Can a backpacking backpack be carry-on luggage?
I'm looking at buying a smaller sized backpacking backpack. Would I be able to have them as carry on luggage. I will be flying Ryanair which has a 55x40x20 cm 21x15x7 in. size limit? Are smaller sized packs within this limit?
