Backpack for backpacking recommendations?
I'm about to spend four months in South America and there will be many times when I'll be backpacking for weeks at a time. I need pack that's going to be comfortable but mostly have lots of room for gear and maybe even another small pack inside of the big backpack to carry camera gear.I'm 16 years old, female, 5'10 and 150 lbs if that helps at all.Any recommendations? I was thinking about the Osprey Argon 110 or the Gregory Denali Pro 105.

What are the best places in Oregon for backpacking/ wilderness camping?

Video Camera for Backpacking?
I am looking to buy a video camera. I would be using it to document backpacking and hiking trips. The two cameras i am looking at right now are the HD HERO2 from GoPro and the VPC CA100 102 from Xacti. The GoPro is very lightweight, has a wide angle lens, and has many mounting options. But it does not have a fold out LCD screen. The Xacti is lightweight, waterproof, and has a flip out LCD screen. It also takes higher resolution stills than the GoPro. However its battery life is far less 1 hour than the GoPros 2 2.5 hours Whats your opinion? What other cameras could i use while backpacking?

Backpacking Europe question?
Has anyone been backpacking through Europe? Me and my buddy are going on a backpacking trip in October and we want to go for 2 months and I was wondering I anybody new if $6000 is enough to for 2 months. We are going to be staying hostels and I willing to eat very cheap like little snacks from the store and even skip meals. And the plane ticket and train passes which is going to to be about $1300 is also taken from the $6000. We want to see each country for about 5 days so we will see around 10 12 countries. We are going in a big circle starting in edinburg. Scotland and going all the way to eastern Europe and possibly Russia then down and westward to Spain and France then back to edinburge

How much would it cost to backpack across Europe?
I'll be graduating high school this up and coming summer, and me and a friend have had a dream of backpacking across Europe that we have been planning for. We will be 18 and have already started figuring out costs and necessities. We plan on working for money in the towns we visit, and visiting hostels along the way, also a lot of camping.Could anyone give a rough estimate that's done this before, of about how much we would need to save up to at least make the trip and have a little to start off when we get there. Also, any necessities we would need to bring along that could be forgotten, would be awesome Thanks

Backpacking: Do I really need evidence of Onward Travel when arriving in Japan?
I'm about to go backpacking through Asia, my first stop is Tokyo. I'm looking for advice on 'Proof of Onward Travel Arrangements'. It was my plan just to 'play by ear' as I don't know exactly how long I'm going to spend in Japan definitely not 90 days probably 4 Weeks maximum .I do know that I will be exiting Japan on a ferry or Aerofoil from Shimonoseki or Fukuoka, but I don't want to buy tickets now as it will somewhat limit me. I have funds that I can prove if that is sufficient.Doe's anyone know what's the script with the issue and Japanese Immigration Officers? If it makes any difference I'm British and Arriving from Rome, Italy. Thanks Regardings the intention of this criteria of 'Onward Travel Proof', I will have plenty funds. I see no need to have booked travel plans when I clearly have the means to. Would proof of sufficient funds suffice in a situation where I could not prove my onward travel with bookings? For instance I want to travel onto South Korea via ferry, looks difficult if not impossible to book this online. Therefore this would make this itinerary unfeasible for foreigners. Sounds a bit weird I wouldn't be allowed to do this.
